Anonymous asked: The first two girls in the picture arnt even wearing jeans, they're trousers... lol
All up to interpretation. Jeans and trousers are just two different kinds of pants. And I can understand the reasoning behind not imitating men, as women aren’t even supposed to wear men’s sandals. And I can understand the reasoning behind the modesty issue, as we’re not supposed to wear any clothing that is sheer as to reveal the shape. But I think people go about correction in a very harsh, un-Islamic way.
I think the imitating men point is moot, as we’re not talking about pants in history. Maybe 100 years ago it would have been haraam because it wasn’t commonplace for women to wear pants, but presently it is common so I don’t see why they would be haraam.
But I really don’t care if a sister wants to wear them, haraam or not. They’re dressing modestly by our societal standards and I don’t think it is my place to tell her what to do, or tell her what is right or wrong. I can only tell her about the information we have and she can do what she wants with it.
